Pastor Jason was called to First Baptist Elgin and has led as our shepherd since 2010. His passion is teaching the Word of God in a way that relates, encourages, and challenges the hearers. Along with wife, Hope, his family is dedicated to investing themselves in Elgin and focused on helping FBC become a church that meets and ministers to the many needs of our city and our world. Franklin Karr - Student minister
Franklin joined the FBC staff in August of 2019. He's from Waco, Texas and is a graduate of Baylor University, earning his BA in Biblical Studies, and is currently pursuing his Masters online. He enjoys football, reading, eating tacos and spending time with his wife, Kamryn (an Aggie, but he got past that), and daughter Jase. Franklin loves Jesus and is passionate about teaching teenagers about the Bible. He's huge on relationships and equipping students to reach their potential as leaders and ministers in the world around them. -
Kathrin Carter - Children ministry director
Kathrin grew up in Elgin, TX. She attended Hardin-Simmons University where she earned a BA in Ministry and Music and a dual MA in Family Psychology and Family Ministry. She loves Jesus, kids, spending time with family and friends and being silly. Email: kathrin@fbcelgin.org

John Patterson - Executive Pastor
Pastor John was called to First Baptist Elgin in July 2022. He loves Jesus and is passionate about the Bible, missions, discipleship and building ministries that equip the saints for good works. He has a BS in Bible & Theology from William Jessup University, studied Christian Leadership at Dallas Theological Seminary and has been in vocational ministry since 2010 as pastor and chaplain. Aside from Jesus, his greatest loves are his wife, Dawn of 25+ years, and their 4 children…Mandy, Trent, Joseph and Loralee.
