Let's get on Mission this Easter
Easter Here: Celebrate Easter with Me @ FBCE
Our first commitment is right here in Elgin, reaching our neighbors with the good news of Jesus Christ. Easter is one of the greatest opportunities we have to share the gospel, and we are praying for 300-400 extra guests on our campus this year. That means more lives encountering the truth that God is no longer counting people’s sins against them, but offering permanent forgiveness and new life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:19).
How Can I Be Involved?
- Fill & Return Easter Eggs – We have 5,000 empty eggs for our events. Take some home, fill them with candy (no chocolate, please), and return them to the church.
- Invite People to the Good Friday Egg Hunt & BBQ – Hosted by Jeff and Gena Carter at their home. You will receive a text with an image that includes their address—share it with those you invite.
- Share on Social Media – Take pictures at our wood wall with the sign "Celebrate Easter with Me @ FBCE." Tag us or check in at First Baptist Church, Elgin, TX, and in your post, invite others to join you for Easter.
- Door-to-Door Invitations – Pick up a handful of door hangers, pray over them with your family, and then walk your neighborhood (or another area God places on your heart). Go in groups for safety and either hand them out personally or leave them on doorknobs.
- Attend & Serve on Easter Sunday – Last year, our early service had over 500 people, and our second service had around 250. Consider attending the second service and serving in the first, or be flexible and serve where needed.
- Park Farther to Make Room for Guests – The back grass lot is open for trucks and SUVs, and EISD will serve as overflow parking. Easter is about welcoming guests—let’s ensure they have the best experience possible!
Easter There: Taking the Gospel to Austin
Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Our Jerusalem is Elgin, but this year, we are stepping into our Judea (Austin) by supporting King’s Cross Church, a young church plant led by Pastor Rob Jenner.
How Can I Be Involved?

Easter Everywhere: The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
Easter isn’t just about what’s happening in Elgin or Austin—it’s about sharing the gospel everywhere. One way we do that is through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, which supports over 3,000 missionaries across North America as they plant churches, serve communities, and share the hope of Jesus.
Every dollar given goes directly to missionaries serving in places where the gospel is needed most.
